Smoothness comes from a few things you can check: 100% agave, some time in oak, careful production, and serving it at room temperature rather than ice-cold. A reposado or añejo is usually the smoothest straight pour, because barrel time rounds off the alcohol heat that makes unaged tequila harder to sit with.
Our guide to sipping tequila covers how to taste for this, and our process page shows where that softness is built. TROPA Reposado is made to be sipped neat. It rests three months in American oak, and the functional mushroom blend used during distillation contributes to its smooth, rounded, subtly sweet finish.
