Does tequila have psychedelic effects?

No. Tequila is a distilled spirit made from blue Weber agave, and its effects are those of alcohol, nothing more. The idea sometimes comes from confusion with other plant-based drinks, or from brands with mushroom imagery. TROPA's mushroom tequila is a good example. The mushroom-shaped ceramic bottle is a design statement, and the functional mushroom blend used during distillation is a production choice that contributes to the tequila's smooth, rounded, subtly sweet profile. It is about flavor, with no health or wellness claims attached.
